Our calendar of events for 2019 includes two new performances at local venues.
“Is Dartmoor worth Crossing ?”
An evening of Dartmoor stories, myths, legends, scriptures and poems inspired by the countryside, performed by Dartmoor characters including the late William Crossing – the great moorland author and guide.
Performed in February at the Two Bridges Hotel, this event sold out very quickly, and received great reviews, including this review from Tim Sandles of Legendary Dartmoor. If you missed it first time out, fear not, for it is back for a second showing on 14th November 2019.
TICKETS, priced at £30, to include a tasty 3-course supper and coffee, are now available from The Two Bridges Hotel, or telephone 01822 892300.
The Dartmoor Highwayman
As part of Tavistock’s first ‘Go Gothic’ week, hosted by Tavistock Library, the Edge Players are proud to present ‘THE DARTMOOR HIGHWAYMAN’, a moving love story with a ghostly twist. 7pm, Wednesday 16th October, at The Bedford Hotel.
Those who know The Highwayman poem by Alfred Noyse might have wondered what happens at the inn whilst the hero is away from the scene. Now is your chance, not only to find out, but to be part of the inn setting, and witness the characters as they come to life and tell their stories!
TICKETS, priced at £23, to include a tasty 2-course supper and coffee, are now available from The Bedford Hotel, telephone 01822 613221.
